Special Olympics: A Very Special Christmas, Vol. 7

Since the first groundbreaking album, a total of seven dynamic and commercially successful albums have been produced in the series. This year Universal Music Enterprises and The Special Olympics committee have targeted the young music audience by featuring some of the top young music artistes of today including Miley Cyrus, Colbie Caillat, Kerry Underwood, Gloriana, Kellie Pickler, Vanessa Hudgens and Meteor 17’s Carter Twins, amongst others.

The first album was conceived and brought to fruition by Jimmy and Vicki Iovine and Bobby Shriver, along with Herb Albert and Jerry Moss.

Much of the growth of Special Olympics internationally as well as in hard-to-reach urban centers of the United States and the world is due to the phenomenal success of the A Very Special Christmas(AVSC) album series.

Combined Career Soundscan album sales by artists appearing on AVSC 7 is over 26 Million Units!

The focus single and key video that was used by all to help market and promote the 2009 holiday release was LET IT SNOW by The Carter Twins.  It was produced by Billboard Country Producer Of The Year, Frank Rogers and Executive Produced by Spencer Proffer.
