Padaro Press, an operating unit of Meteor 17, is the sister book publishing company to Judith A. Proffer’s Huqua Press, which curates popular culture titles. It was established in 2012 by Judith and Spencer as an imprint of Huqua, which curates popular culture titles. The Padaro Press platform creates a pioneering publishing paradigm for both Padaro and Huqua titles, bridging media and manuscript pages to life on devices, screen, and in live events.

Padaro serves as a home for authors whose works are anchored in various media and disciplines, from music, film, photography, and other enterprises. Padaro will provide a book launch home and support to authors with a voice and following that can reach a global audience.

Padaro has partnered with Backbeat Kids, the musician’s children book division of Rowman & Littlefield/Globe Pequot (https://rowman.com/) to release Graham Nash’s illustrated book for all ages, Our House, to the world on March 2, 2021. The illustrated book for all ages is anchored upon his #1 evergreen song classic, OUR HOUSE (dedication by Carole King  https://www.meteor17.com/our-house).

Additionally, Graham and Manuscript Originals' Off the Record: Songwriters on Songwriting, a Premier Collection of 25 of the World’s Most Celebrated Songs as told by the songwriters, will be shared with the world in 2021.

In Off the Record, each composer shares their thoughts and memories about the creation of career-defining classic songs, how they fell in love with music, how their music careers were launched and how these songs impacted their lives and legacy. The stories are illuminated with historical archival photographs of each artist and the group who first recorded the song. The artists delve into the art of songwriting through personal interviews hosted and narrated by Graham Nash, seminal member of Crosby, Stills and Nash, and himself twice an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in 1997 for CSN and 2010 for his work with the Hollies.

Additionally, each songwriter has personally created an original handwritten manuscript of the lyrics to their featured song, which is artfully displayed in the chapter presenting that songwriter’s classic work. Readers will be pleased to know that they can purchase full-size artwork directly from Manuscript Originals. These documents are personally hand-written and decorated by the artists themselves and bring the mysterious art of songwriting to the public, who always seem to want to know how musicians ‘do that.'

"The insight into the songwriting process, shown here in these documents, provide an interesting look ‘down the rabbit-hole,’” says Graham Nash. "I, myself, don’t really know or understand the act of creating a song. All I know is that it’s an incredible way of being able to speak my mind with melody and words and hopefully give people the ability to ‘pull back the curtain’ to reveal the world around us."

The enhanced eBook will be available for Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, Apple iBooks, Kobo and Google Play.
