Nathan has served as General Counsel to Spencer Proffer, his family and each of his entities, for the past thirty five years.

Nate is a highly regarded attorney with both State and Federal practice which includes over 36 years of experience in the courtrooms of California, and has earned a personal AV rating from Martindale - Hubble in 1989. Nathan was a senior partner at sixty-five member law firm, Daniels, Baratta and Fine where he practiced for over two decades. His Civil Law practice (State and Federal Trial and Appellate Courts) includes trial, civil litigation, a focus on copyright, business and commercial matters, entertainment (production and claims), Internet, intellectual property, real estate, malpractice and errors and omissions, personal injury, mediation and arbitration, computer/web related matters and litigation. In addition to working closely with M17 and Spencer on legal matters pertaining to rights acquisition and protection, Nate has an extensive and varied trial, arbitration and mediation practice.

Nathan graduated from Loyola Law School earning a JD in 1979 where he was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board and California State Team Member and was an Associate Editor, International & Comparative Law Journal. Nathan attended the University of Southern California and earned his AB Psychology in 1975.
