M17 Asia Pacific Content Development;

Liaison with China media

During her work as a Sr. Director of User experience and Product Strategy at TCL Research America, a well known TV hardware and media company (http://www.tclusa.com) , Di started working with Spencer and his team in early 2018 on a collaborative project to build a global-impact streaming platform between TCL and M17.

Additionally, they developed a documentary which Spencer and M17 will produce entitled FOREVER HOLLYWOOD. It is about the past, present and future of the Grauman’s Chinese Theater, now called the TCL Chinese Theater (http://www.meteor17.com/forever-hollywood).

The documentary will premiere via Proffer’s long term arrangement on a major streaming platform in over 30 territories in 2021, then exhibited downstream, on multiple broadcast outlets, worldwide.

Today, Di is actively working with the Meteor 17 team and Spencer in particular, to liase with Spencer en route to becoming a global media ambassador and production partner to numerous Chinese market and media companies and top television and radio stations.

The plan is to make an impact for cultural exchange on influential media projects between United States and China. Spencer will take a creative and business hand to oversee and produce, while the M17 team, with Di at their side, participates in meaningful cross marketing and promotion activities.

Di is also working as an independent consultant owner and principal designer of Ideel.Design. She has over 15 years of customer and usability design experience at various influential companies, such as IBM, Brocade, Cisco, MobileIron, and TCL Research America, etc. 

She has been also actively helping enterprise and consumer startups build ease-of-use and creative user interface with cutting-edge technologies and customer-driven product strategies. It allows her to lead the design trend in many domain-specific areas that apply complex business logic into user-friendly interactivity as well as provide successful go-to-market strategy. 

Di hold a Masters Degree in Human Factors in Psychology from University of South Dakota and a Bachelors Degree in Computational Mathematics from Shandong University in China. 

During her years of study and practice on the user experience design, she has been awarded multiple awards and accolades and presented multiple times at several conferences. Recently D was awarded second place on the Best Action Plan Contest at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, 48th Annual Meeting.
