John Singh is the newest member of Spencer’s band of renegade, entrepreneur professionals. He is working closely with M17 marketing and PR chief, Bethany Claypool, to bring worldwide attention to M17’s works in the form of reviews, interviews and other PR. John helps M17 continue on its’ visionary path by propelling creative marketing extensions to Spencer’s professional goals. Raising the pop culture bar via Proffer and the company’s world class, music anchored documentary productions and extensions, is an important part of John’s nexus to the Company.

John Singh spent two two decades working with some of the world’s most well-known entertainment brands, including The Walt Disney Company, Fandango, DreamWorks Animation, and Lucasfilm Ltd. 

During his career, John created and managed global PR initiatives as diverse as the global launches of some of the biggest movies in history; the TV and streaming premieres of popular animated series; the expansion of a global licensing business; and the introduction of the most successful movie-ticketing company in the U.S. His successful consultancy has worked with companies ranging from small entertainment-technology startups to Paramount Pictures, Blumhouse Productions, Disney’s D23, Fathom Events, animation studio Six Point Harness, and CBS’s acclaimed visual effects division. 

His work has resulted in major coverage by such outlets as Vanity Fair, TV Guide, USA Today, USA Weekend, Parade, Reuters, the Associated Press, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Times of London, Yomiuri Shimbun, Bild, Los Angeles Times, Empire, Total Film, Good Morning America, GM.tv, Syfy Wire, BBC, MTV, Fox News, Network Ten, Late Night With Conan O’Brien and many more.

John is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communications, and of the University of California at San Diego. Prior to his work in corporate and entertainment publicity, he was a newspaper journalist for Knight-Ridder, Capital Cities/ABC and United Press International.

John is also the owner and principal of J2 Communications.
