STABLE will be a 80 minute incisive, in depth journey into the world of the Kentucky horse world, not focusing on the animals but on the people behind them. It will produced by Spencer Proffer and Executive Produced by renown equestrian Phillipa Sledge.
There is a lot of heart, commitment, spirit, drama and human character aspects of folks who have and currently own, train, breed and love all horse breeds, in particular Saddlebreds and Thoroughbreds.
We will show the stories of the people who live, eat, and dream horses. What have they encountered in their interfaces with each other to accomplish the reasons that they love the horses, love the culture, love the excitement and heartbreaks of being in the Kentucky anchored, yet worldwide horse industry.
We will demonstrate the difference between the ethos of horse owners in the two top breeds, Saddlebreds and Thoroughbreds. Why certain people own each, what are the reasons, how do these two divergent sub-industries function based on the goals, joys and reasons for being into them - which is vastly contrasted.
Our film will be exciting to watch, informative, interesting, poignant (beautifully shot in Bluegrass Kentucky) and highlight past and current personalities involved with each of these two key breeds - and why.
Rumbling beneath the elusive veils of the American Saddlebred and Thoroughbred industries are timeless tales of conflict and pain, treachery and deceit as well as enduring and heartfelt stories of courage and stamina, strength and hope against all odds.
STABLE, will delve into the very essence of the equine world revealing its complex myriad of realities. Truths that will mirror back to our viewers the complexities they face in their day-to-day lives, their challenges and struggles that comprise the human existence, the perfections and imperfections of life. Truths that will imbue our viewers with a newfound appreciation of their very own life existence.
As we come to know our horses, we come to know ourselves. And in so doing, we empower each other to reach for our greatest potential in life, no matter how great nor how small, regardless of race, gender, class and creed.
