Robert Companies, Federal Express, Wachovia, Bombardier/Learjet, The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, PepsiCo and others (see below) to show appreciation for The United States Marine Corps and the men & women of the Military who serve to safeguard freedom for all American Citizens. It will be An American Thank You for our armed services members to enjoy with their families.  To date, nearly 25,000 U.S. Marines and Sailors from Camp Pendleton, California have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.  Camp Pendleton, our West Coast home of the Marine Corps, has suffered the highest casualty rate of any base in the United States.

This event was initiated by Washington D.C. businessman and philanthropist, Joseph E. Robert, Jr., CEO of the J.E. Robert Companies.  Mr. Robert, long known for his charitable contributions to society through his philanthropy organization, Fight For Children, launched a separate 501(c)(3) organization, Support The Corps in an effort to rally support and contributions for the concert.  Mr. Robert asked Grammy, Oscar and Emmy honoree Jones, award winning record/ film producer Proffer and highly respected music manager and live event producer McGhee, to join forces in assembling the talent and managing the business goals for this unique initiative.  The producers are working closely with Jerry Inzerillo, Executive Vice President of Kerzner International, Ltd. to plan, coordinate and combine the elements.  This dynamic team has also been in constant coordination with Pete Elkin and Mike Wilkinson of Camp Pendleton for the last six months in order to create a show that the Marines will thoroughly enjoy.  Mr. Robert’s son, Corporal Joseph E. Robert III, is currently serving our country as a U.S. Marine.

Rockin’ The Corps is a free event and only open to active duty military personnel and their families. The evening will be filmed with the top technology available for a subsequent theatrical exhibition, televised special and DVD release.  All proceeds will go to the 501(c) (3) corporation formed to benefit the soldiers and families of the Marine Corps involved in our foreign combat efforts.  There will also be transmission to bases all over the world via the American Forces Network.
