Mach XXI Music and other Media Enterprises Mach XXI is a new multimedia company formed by music and media producers, Spencer Proffer/M17, George Paige, Huntsville game and online developer, Digital Radiance, Inc. along with their CEO, Ron Phillips. Digital Radiance (www.digitalradiance.com). Digital Radiance designs and develops custom interactive 3D software and content for commercial, government, museum and scientific clients. DR specializes in creating state-of-the-art interactive 3D visual simulations that inform, educate, and entertain via: PCs and Macs, the Web and TV. Mach XXI’s mission statement is to bring to the world meaningful projects that are based upon the intersection of MEDIA/AEROSPACE/CHILDREN (education) & HEART (charity). Proffer/Paige have a long term relationship with Huntsville’s U.S. Space & Rocket Center. They are currently developing and producing the Space Camp movie, partnered with and co-financed by UNIVERSAL FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT. A logical extension of Proffer, Paige and M17’s close ties to the Huntsville community is the deepening of a proactive interface and nexus with key Huntsville business and creative leaders. Mach XXI will be headquartered in Huntsville, out of the Digital Radiance offices. The first project in the new company is an exclusive arrangement with the Space & Rocket Center to build out interactive gaming and online applications for the Space and Science/ Technology meets Media Worlds. First up is the creation of the “SPACE ACADEMY” game and online community --- with the goal to create a SPACE ACADEMY franchise that has a minimum of 1 million annual subscribers globally within the next five years... The enterprise will contain a robust educational component to all the content created by Mach XXI for all activities and products developed with the USSRC. MACH XXI is in pre-production on a music CD project, tied into space, science and charity for release in Fall, 2010. Proffer is currently securing contemporary music personalities who will perform classic songs in their own style which will resonate with their respective fan bases. Timeless SPACE themed chestnuts will be recorded by today’s hottest recording stars (for example, artists targeted include DARIUS RUCKER, DAVE MATTHEWS BAND, LENNY KRAVITZ, BLACK EYED PEAS, NO DOUBT, ROB THOMAS, KINGS OF LEON, et. al ) to perform modern day new arrangements of classic space-related songs such as: ROCKET MAN (Elton John); SPACE ODDITY/MAJOR TOM (David Bowie); ACROSS THE UNIVERSE (Beatles); FLY LIKE AN EAGLE (Steve Miller Band); FLY ME TO THE MOON; VENUS & MARS & JET (McCartney); BLINDED ME WITH SCIENCE (Thomas Dolby). On the marketing and awareness front, the model for how MACH XXI will roll out the space themed album and documentary, is grounded upon the successful music and media event that Quincy Jones, Doc McGhee and Proffer produced for the US Marine Corps in 2005, called Rockin’ The Corps. After the concert event was held at Camp Pendleton for 50,000 Marines and their families, starring Beyonce, KISS, Hootie & The Blowfish with Darius Rucker, Godsmack, Ja Rule, Ritchie Sambora and hosted by Cedric The Entertainer. Ted Nugent opened the 4 hour concert event by playing the National Anthem as only The Nuge could. A national awareness was launched with longtime Proffer comrades at YAHOO as our online partner, a 30 day promotion in National Cinemedia theaters leading up to a highly visible night of celebration and exhibition on their screens across the country for our troops – followed by a Time Warner/Comcast Pay per View TV Special. All of this media lead to the release of a very unique DVD, all to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps. Mach XXI plans to utilize a similar media blueprint to launch the space themed CD and accompanying documentary DVD. There will also be a tie in with an evergreen, well known space-themed hit film. This album will be marketed and distributed by one of the major worldwide record distributors, closely aligned with Meteor 17 and Proffer. The profits from our this project will not only go to the folks creatively contributing to the record but also to Mach XXI’s charitable partner, the Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC). Mach is also planning to create a nexus here with the MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION. Additionally, there will also be strong links to other educational organizations and companies in the space sector. Music has an incredible power to reach today’s generation of dreamers and achievers. Mach XXI’s goal with this enterprise is to help inspire young people worldwide to take humanity’s next giant leap while connected to something fun and vital such as music which can get the message across.
